Look out for updates
There’s no getting away from it: most people, if they are being honest, are uncomfortable with the ageing process. As we age our hair thins or falls out, our teeth decay, our bodies weaken and our skin changes. On our faces, this results in deeper lines and wrinkles, sagging skin and hollow cheeks. Our lips also lose volume and definition and the tear troughs beneath our eyes become more pronounced.
Of course, if you are unconcerned by these changes, there is no reason to seek to forestall the ageing process. But if these changes are having a negative emotional impact on you, our range of safe, temporary facial aesthetics could be a suitable option for you to:
We offer three treatments:
Dermal fillers are a quick and safe way to reduce wrinkles, restore lost volume in the face and bring luminosity and firmness back to tired skin. Their effect is natural and subtle; they can give a lift to your face for a younger and refreshed look, and are very often used on the lips, chin, cheeks, under the eyes and on the lines which run from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth. They last approximately six to 24 months depending on the type of filler used, the quantity and the area treated; with no recovery time, this makes them extremely popular.
Dermal fillers are made of biodegradable hyaluronic acid, a natural skin component that acts like a sponge and retains water to keep the skin moisturised, plumped and healthy; we lose 50 per cent of our hyaluronic acid between the age of 40 and 50 which leaves the skin dry, thin and fragile. Fillers are injected using an ultra-fine needle.
You may experience temporary tenderness, redness, swelling or, in rare cases, bruising. Any redness usually settles in hours, swelling and most bruising in a few days. Other rare side effects include allergy, granulomas and, very rarely, damage to blood vessels that can lead to tissue damage.
As we age our lips lose volume and definition, and many people can benefit from using lip fillers to subtly make their lips plumper, increase contours and lip outlines or, if the lips are asymmetric, gently modify them to adjust proportions.
We treat the following areas:
Lip fillers are made of biodegradable hyaluronic acid, a natural skin component that acts like a sponge and retains water to keep the skin moisturised, plumped and healthy. Lip fillers are injected using an ultra-fine needle and the effect last approximately six months.
Your lips may become a little swollen and you might experience some common injection-related reactions such as redness, itching, discolouration and tenderness at the injection site, which will clear up on their own within two to 10 days. Bruising is unusual. If you have had cold sores around the mouth, a condition known as facial herpes simplex, lip fillers might provoke an outbreak. You can mitigate this by being prepared with a supply of the prescribed oral tablets Valtrex, Famvir or acyclovir.
If you are unhappy with lines on your forehead, lines between your eyebrows or your crow’s feet, appropriate treatments including anti-wrinkle treatment may be prescribed following a consultation with us. Treatment can be repeated three or four times a year and after multiple treatments, the effects may last for up to six months.
Anti-wrinkle consultation aims to offer treatments that target wrinkles that appear as a result of movement; it can therefore widen the eye and give a well-rested look. You won’t look 20 years younger, but you may find you look more natural and relaxed or less sad and angry.
